Mission In Communion

Sharing the missionary task of Jesus and the activity of the Church is so challenging especially when you are in non-christian place. You have to respect the culture and the existing belief of the people in that country. But still you can bring the loving Presence of God in their midst. This was the living experienced of Lay Missionary working in Thailand as a teacher. The missionary does not have to to preach the Presence of God in words but just teaching and working in the Spirit Love especially to the poor children who are victims of war, abused even at their early age. The hard work and the love of God experience by the missionary touches the heart of the people around the area that leads the people to ask what is in that missionary life that made her such kind of person? That is the time that the said missionary share in words the name Jesus and to them, of course with all respect to their existing beliefs and culture. And not convert them into christianity. To be in communion with people of other religions calls for one to be with them by heart, seeking and recognizing that God is present in each person regardless of he/she is and whatever religion they belong.
If, we missionaries eager to share God's Presence to all, God is so compassionate that He allows Himself to be felt by everyone in their hearts as He keeps on revealing Himself to His people even in our highly technological world today. Ours to do is to continue loving and caring people around us.
